1. Age Eligibility & Licensee Representation
By installing, executing, or utilizing the Software, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least eighteen (18) years of age or possess legal majority under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- You possess full legal capacity and competence to enter into, execute, and be bound by the obligations, warranties, and terms of this Agreement.
- If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, you are strictly prohibited from downloading, installing, or executing the Software.
2. Grant of Proprietary Freeware License
- License Scope: Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Licensor grants Licensee a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, royalty-free license to install and operate the compiled binary object code on compatible Linux (64-bit / x86_64) systems.
- Freeware Classification: The Software is licensed free of monetary charge solely for personal, educational, or lawful internal business purposes.
- Reservation of Title: The Software is licensed, not sold. Licensee acquires no title, ownership interest, copyright, or intellectual property rights in the Software.
3. Intellectual Property Rights & Closed-Source Restrictions
The Software, including its native Rust engine, Tauri bridge, user interface, CSS tokens, graphic iconography, visual assets, documentation, and algorithms, represents exclusive proprietary trade secrets of Rhaegar Systems, protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 of India and international treaties.
Licensee shall not directly or indirectly:
- Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, decrypt, extract, or attempt to derive human-readable source code.
- Modify, adapt, translate, alter, or create derivative works.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with technological protection measures or security boundaries.
- Disassemble or repackage individual dynamic link libraries or UI components for separate deployment.
4. Distribution, Bundling & Commercial Limitations
- Monetary Exploitation: Selling, renting, leasing, sublicensing, or charging download fees without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.
- Prohibition of Third-Party Bundling: No third-party download portal may wrap or bundle the Software with toolbars, adware, or installer wrappers.
- Redistribution of Packages: Redistribution of official, unmodified
.AppImage,.deb, and.tar.gzpackages is permitted only if free of charge and preserving all checksums and this Agreement.
5. Integration with Third-Party Platforms (Google Drive APIs)
- Account Prerequisites: Operation requires a valid Google Account communicating with Google Drive APIs under Google's Terms of Service.
- Independent Status: Alucard Sync is an independent desktop client engineered by Rhaegar Systems and is not affiliated, sponsored, authorized, or endorsed by Google LLC.
- Third-Party Availability: Licensor does not warrant that Google Drive APIs will remain operational, and incurs no liability for Google outages or quota throttling (HTTP 429).
6. Acceptable Use and Licensee Covenants
The Software functions strictly as a local software client and transport utility. Licensor does not host, curate, monitor, or possess any content transferred. Licensee agrees to utilize the Software exclusively for lawful purposes and covenants not to transmit infringing materials or malicious code. Licensee indemnifies Rhaegar Systems against claims arising from transferred content or breach of terms.
7. File System Execution & Disclaimer of Data Loss
The Software executes direct automated file system reads, writes, overwrites, and permanent deletions as commanded by the user. Licensor maintains no external backups and is incapable of restoring deleted items. Licensee assumes all operational risks for local or remote file actions.
8. System Resource & Network Utilization
The Software contains multi-threaded architecture supporting concurrent data transfers across up to 32 parallel worker threads and unthrottled network bandwidth. Licensee is solely responsible for monitoring hardware loads, thermal constraints, and network provider data overages.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITH ALL FAULTS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL RHAEGAR SYSTEMS OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR DOWNTIME). AS ZERO-COST FREEWARE, TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO ₹0 (ZERO INDIAN RUPEES) OR MAXIMUM ₹100 (ONE HUNDRED INDIAN RUPEES).
11. Term and Termination
Effective upon download, installation, or use. Licensee may terminate at any time by uninstalling and deleting %APPDATA%\AlucardSync. Licensor may terminate immediately upon any breach of terms.
12. Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
Governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India. Any legal proceeding arising under or related to this Agreement shall be instituted exclusively in the competent civil courts situated in India.

Licensor reserves the right to amend this Agreement periodically. Revised terms will be published on the official website with an updated date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
